As part of the Victorian Government Driving Business Innovation Program Agersens has completed a feasibility study into the application of virtual fencing as a method for protecting rivers and waterways from pollution and damage by livestock. The study was sponsored by the North East Catchment Management Authority and proposed a virtual fence system that is an attractive solution for both farmers and water management authorities. It provides a flood and fire proof, lower cost method of fencing rivers and waterways while also offering a tool to help farmers improve productivity and reduce costs.
